What is CS4All?

CS4All is an innovative Computer Science education program that provides equity, empowerment, and opportunities that maximize the innate potential of every student to transform and advance their community, nation, and world.

What is Computer Science?

Computer science develops students’ computational and critical thinking skills and teaches them to create, not simply use, new technologies. This fundamental knowledge is needed to prepare students for the 21st century, regardless of their ultimate field of study or occupation.

Why CS for All?

While computing skills lead to some of the highest paying careers, minorities, women and children from low income families rarely have early exposure necessary to pursue these careers. The Computer Science for All initiative is providing CPS students with high-quality computer science instruction to spark their interest in education and high-tech careers.

CS for All means growth for Chicago. Because of programs like CS for All, our students will make an impact as leaders in every profession, in every industry, and in every sector, not only technology.

WHY?
Because CS for All participants are not only learning how to program, they’re developing qualities that define a great leader: confidence, intuition, communication, and creativity—no matter which career path they take.
